I'm Back!!

hello to my random world again! wow.... how long since I've open this blog.. I never thought I'll be able to blog again because of where I've been now.. and where was that has no internet connection or if there is it's super slow. and yeah definitely, life has took a toll on me when I've started working away from the city and from my family. But you know what, I don't regret anything from it. I felt for the first time in my life that I was somewhat significant. and so I love what I'm doing right now. It's been almost 2 years since I started working as a company nurse to a leading detergent manufacturing company.

So recently, I just found myself reading through blogs after blogs and that's what awakened me from my hiatus. I've been hooked to Ms. Shen and Nikki 's blog. I hope I'll be able to update this random world of mine always.....

Sarah Dessen Novels

I admit, I've never thought of reading any Sarah Dessen's books before just because I think her target audience are more of 12 to 18 years old teenagers.

The first book that I have read from her is That Summer.

I found this book in a book sale for just 75pesos and read the book for 3 hours only. From what I remember, this books tells about this teenage girl who undergoes big changes in her life physically and emotionally.

here's a little review of the book i got from Sarah Dessen's website [http://www.sarahdessen.com]

In Sarah's Words

That Summer was the first novel I sold and for that reason it will always be special. It was actually the third one I wrote, after a terrible book I did in college and one that was marginally better the year after. I never intended That Summer to be a YA book while I was writing it: to me, it was just a novel with a teenage narrator. But when I got an agent, she suggested it would be a good book for teenagers. When I look back over That Summer now, I always think that I was writing a bit more freely then, because it was before I knew to worry about reviews or publishers or what everyone else thought. Sumner Lee, Ashley’s long-lost boyfriend, has remained one of my very favorite characters of all time. Plus when I was planning my own wedding, I found that I could relate, in a way I never had before, to Ashley’s Bad Bride Behavior (although I didn’t always want to admit it). That Summer to me, though, is mostly about Haven finding a way to feel comfortable in her skin. It’s a theme that comes up in a lot of the other books as well, especially Keeping the Moon: this idea that confidence can carry you further than you ever could have believed. Also notable about That Summer is that it contains my husband’s all time favorite scene, where Sumner is filming the cheese commercial. It doesn’t matter what else I write, to my husband that’s the best. Hands down.

I am a Boys Before Flower Fan!

This is what I've been hooked to for the last two weeks

and I just can't express how much this made me feel. I rarely watch asian dramas but this one made me a total fan!

Just look how cute they are???

aww.. up until now, it makes my heart smile, aches and hungry for more. It feels as if i can really relate to the characters, the actors really has done an amazing job doing their characters. Nothing is overdone/ overacted. The story was short and sweet. Unlike here in the Philippines, dramas tends to overacted, too much drama, and sometimes goes out of the story line or twitch the story just to lengthen the soap. for example, I love Betty La Fea, duh? why some guy named Aldo suddenly appears? well whatever.

Another thing is, I am inlove with each and everyone of the characters.

KIM BUM

Aww... tell me any person who doesnt fall for this cuteness?

he was portraying the role of Yi Jeung.. {God, I hope i spelled that right?}

Gosh...[drools...] LOL

anyways, let me continue with the characters before I get a heart attack here.

LEE MIN HO

I love bad boys! :D Lee Mi Ho did an amazing job potraying Gu Jun Pyo... I can't imagine anyone doing this character but him.

aw.... I say he resembles a lot to jerry yan but only BETTER and Hotter!

KIM HYUN JOONG

I admit that I'm not head over heels with him, I must say at first, he look at bit gay. Just because of the hair cut, hair color and the way he dress. But as the drama progresses, I am in love with him.

He portrays the role of Yoon Ji Hoo, Jan Di's soulmate.:)

I also love the way he smiles. :D

his haircut changes at the later part of the drama. I think his long hair suits him more.

Whoo...this one's hot!

KIM JOON

portrays the role of Song Woo Bin

he was cute too but his character was the least attended to.
I also found out that he could rap?? :)

anyways..

Enough of the gorgeous F4 boys.

Koo Hye Sun

She plays the role of the main character Jan Di

I found many bad comments about her that she is ugly or some says she didnt suit the character.

but in my opinion, I think she exactly embodies the character of Geum Jan Di.

Jan Di is someone who is not gorgeous nor ugly, funny, and spirited young girl.

I do believe the Koo Hye Sun perfectly fits for the role.

and she is cute!

plus, some people are just jealous because she gets to hang out and work with 4 gorgeous male! :)

aww... i wished it never ended or maybe a sequel please???? :)

Book Haul

just bought this at booksale.:) both are P145.00! what a steal babes!

i'll read the booster first.:)

here's the summary of the two books:

The Truth About Forever

Sixteen-year-old Macy Queen is looking forward to a long, boring summer. Her boyfriend is going away. She's stuck with a dull-as-dishwater job at the library. And she'll spend all of her free time studying for the SATs or grieving silently with her mother over her father's recent unexpected death. But everything changes when Macy is corralled into helping out at one of her mother's open house events, and she meets the chaotic Wish Catering crew. Before long, Macy joins the Wish team. She loves everything about the work and the people. But the best thing about Wish is Wes—artistic, insightful, and understanding Wes—who gets Macy to look at life in a whole new way, and really start living it.

The Booster

Jillian Siegel is living the quintessential Manhattan life: great clothes, fabulous boyfriend, a job at the hottest ad agency in town. But what nobody knows is that this twenty-nine-year-old has a dark little secret -- one that involves stuffing her oversize Gucci handbag with high-priced designer clothes and leaving the store without paying. Penned by one of advertising's most influential and provocative writers, this highly anticipated debut is packed with vibrant characters, bristling dialogue, and the rich detail of the author's real-life research into the clandestine world of shoplifting rings. The Booster is a uniquely stylish, deftly woven story about discovering one's true self in the most unexpected of places.
